WHAT IS ORASIS?
Orasis is a 1-shot HDR app. It takes a single image and automatically transforms it to a well-exposed, natural-looking photo, simulating the way your eyes perceived the scenery at the moment the photo was taken. The name "Orasis" comes from the Greek word Όρασις, which means Vision.
Based on a decade of academic research, Orasis uses a unique image processing algorithm that:

Auto AI mode
There are so many parameters to change in order to make a photo look great. That's why we have trained a specialised AI to do this for you! Orasis features a neural network trained with thousands of photos in order to predict the best parameters for each case. When you load a new image, it analyses it and automatically makes the best adjustments for you. Of course, you can further make your own adjustments if you want.
STATE OF THE ART IMAGE ENHANCEMENT
Unique correction algorithm
Orasis is the outcome of years of academic research. It can enhance shadows or bright areas, without affecting well-exposed image regions, without compromizing local details, or without introducing visible artefacts. We are not aware of any other mobile application out there that can improve back-light conditions like this. If you know such app, please do let us know! We would like to compare it with Orasis.

ORASIS LITE
Free
Orasis lite is the free version of Orasis. It has the full functionality of OrasisHD, but it only allows saving images in high resolution up to 10 times. After that, images are saved in 640x480 pixels. Additionally, it displays advertisements every time an image is saved or shared. Orasis lite is good for testing the app without having to directly buy the full version.

Additionally, it displays an advertisement every time an image is saved.
If you are not sure whether OrasisHD is good for you, please try Orasis for free, before purchasing OrasisHD. Our customer base consists of satisfied users, and we do not intend to change this any time soon :)
WHAT IS AN 1-SHOT HDR?
HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a technique where visual information from multiple photos of different exposures is combined in order to create a new photo with visible information both in the shadows and in the very bright areas. Taking multiple photos of the same scene is not always possible though (e.g. moving objects).
Orasis offers an alternative to this. Its enhancement algorithm can improve a single photo in such a way that it brings out any "hidden" information in the shadows or bright areas. The final image closely resembles the result of a typical HDR photo, thus the name "1-shot HDR".

WHAT IS THE PRIVACY POLICY? DOES ORASIS TRANSMIT MY PERSONAL DATA?
Orasis does not transmit your personal data. We firmly believe that our users' personal data is not a product to be monetized. Orasis is an app that operates locally in your device. It does not require connection with a server in order to run. As such, all image processing happens in your device and no personal data is transmitted anywhere.

LOCATION DATA. If you allowed it, Orasis will access your location when you capture a new photo. This location will only be saved in the EXIF data of your photo, in order for you to be able later to filter your photos based on their location. If you do not grant access of your location to Orasis, no such information is stored in your photos and as such, you will not be able to have geo-filtering later. In any case, Orasis does not transmit you location data.

TRANSMISSION OF TECHNICAL DATA. In the unlikely event that the Orasis app crashes, and provided that there is internet connection, a message will be sent to our Firebase server, with technical details about the reason of the crash (e.g. part of the code where the crash happened). This is done in order for us to be able to track down technical issues and eventually make Orasis more stable. Again, no personal information of any kind is transmitted.
